Best Provider to Buy in Growtopia (2026)

Providers make something on a timer: punch them when they're ready and collect what they drop. But which one is actually worth your World Locks? Below, every popular provider is broken down by what it costs, how often you harvest it, what it drops, what that's worth, and what you can turn it into. At the end, a comparison table helps you pick the one that fits how much time you want to put in.

All prices are the latest reported on GTPriceGuide (November 2026). Click any item to see its live price.

How to read "Pays back in": how long until a provider has made back what you paid for it, if you sell everything it drops. After that, it's pure profit.

๐Ÿ’Ž ATM Machine

Costs Harvest Drops Earns per day
~5 WL ~22 hours 1โ€“100 gems (avg 11) ~12 gems (โ‰ˆ0.006 WL)
  • Why people love it: gems go straight into your gem count. Nothing fills your backpack and nothing has to be sold. 100 ATMs make about 1,200 gems a day.
  • The honest math: a World Lock costs 2,000 gems in the store, so one ATM earns about 0.006 WL a day. At ~5 WL each, it takes over 2 years to pay back.
  • Turn it into: gems for store packs you'd buy anyway. That's where ATMs shine.
  • Bonus: if you break it, it goes back to your backpack.

Verdict: the laziest income in the game, but the slowest return. Buy it for convenience, not profit.

๐Ÿงช Science Station

Costs Harvest Drops Earns per day
2โ€“3 WL 12 hours 1 random chemical ~0.07 WL (selling raw)

Each harvest drops one chemical:

Chemical Chance Price
Chemical G 40% ~100 per WL
Chemical R 25% ~200 per WL
Chemical Y 15% ~5 per WL
Chemical B 13% ~125 per WL
Chemical P 7% ~70 per WL
  • Selling raw: Chemical Y does most of the work; it's worth about 20 times the others. A station pays back in about 1 month.
  • Turn it into: a Dragon Tail (6 G + 4 P + 3 Y in a Chemical Combiner), recently traded at 3โ€“6 WL. Those chemicals are worth well under 1 WL raw. Crafting Dragon Tails from your P and selling the spare Y roughly doubles or triples your income, cutting payback to about 2 weeks. Dragon Tails aren't traded much, though, so don't flood the market.
  • The catch: two harvests a day, plus selling or crafting.

Verdict: the best return for your World Locks, if you put in the time.

๐ŸŽฃ Tackle Box

Costs Harvest Drops Earns per day
7โ€“10 WL 2 days 1โ€“2 random fishing baits ~0.13 WL*
Bait Price
Shrimp Lure ~1 WL each ๐Ÿ’ฐ
Fishing Fly ~7 per WL
Mega-Pellet Bait ~35 per WL
Uranium Glowing Lure ~35 per WL
Wiggly Worm, Shiny Flashy Thing, Salmon Eggs 150โ€“200 per WL
  • Where the profit is: the Shrimp Lure. One is worth as much as 200 worms, and it makes up most of a Tackle Box's value.
  • The math: *the game doesn't publish the drop odds. If every bait is equally likely, a Tackle Box pays back in about 2โ€“2ยฝ months.
  • Turn it into: fish. Mega-Pellet is the only bait for ice water and the Uranium Glowing Lure the only one for radioactive water, so fishers keep those for themselves.
  • Sell at the right time: bait is in demand when a Fishing Fanatics Grow Event weekend comes around, so many players stockpile it and sell then.
  • Bonus: low effort. You only punch it every 2 days, and it returns to your backpack if broken.

Verdict: a solid middle ground: little effort, steady Shrimp Lure profit.

๐Ÿงฑ Building Blocks Machine (BBM)

Costs Harvest Drops Earns per day
~4 WL 24 hours, for 10 days 1 stack of random blocks ~0.6 WL*
  • What it drops: mostly common blocks, plus 27 blocks only a BBM makes, like Digital Dirt (5 per WL), Regal Stairs and the Growmoji blocks (1 WL each).
  • The math: *an older community estimate puts the average harvest at ~0.6 WL. That's about 6 WL over 10 days for a 4 WL machine: it pays back in about a week, then makes ~2 WL profit before it turns into a Used BBM.
  • The catch: you sell lots of different blocks in small amounts, which takes the most time of any provider.
  • โš ๏ธ Never break a BBM. It won't go back to your backpack.

Verdict: the fastest payback, but a short, hands-on flip.

๐Ÿ” Farm Providers: Chicken, Cow, Buffalo, Coffee Maker, Sheep

Provider Costs Harvest Drops Product price Pays back in
Cow ~1 WL 24 hours 1โ€“2 Milk ~115 per WL ~2ยฝ months
Chicken ~2 WL 24 hours 1โ€“2 Egg ~100 per WL ~4โ€“5 months
Coffee Maker 2โ€“3 WL 24 hours Coffee ~50 per WL ~4โ€“5 months
Buffalo ~3 WL 24 hours 1โ€“2 Milk ~115 per WL ~7โ€“8 months
Sheep ~5 WL 3 days Up to 3 Wool ~75 per WL ~3โ€“12 months
  • Cow beats Buffalo: both give the same milk, but a Cow costs a third as much.
  • Sheep: use Sheep Shears (10โ€“15 WL, one pair for all your sheep) to get up to 6 wool per harvest. Then turn every 100 wool into a Wool Bolt (~3 WL), which is worth more than twice as much as selling the wool loose. With both, a Sheep pays back in about 3 months; with neither, closer to a year.
  • Turn it into: eggs and milk are cooking ingredients, worth more to cooks than to the market. Coffee + a Rocket Thruster + a Steel Block makes Janeway's Coffee, recently reported at ~3 WL.

Verdict: cheap and easy, but slow. The Cow is the pick if you want one, and Sheep only pay off with shears and bolts.

๐Ÿ† Rare Providers: Surgical Tool Bag, Star Tool Droid, Tea Set

Provider Costs Harvest Drops Product price
Surgical Tool Bag 4โ€“8 DL 5 days 1 surgical tool ~10 per WL (Stitches ~1 WL)
Star Tool Droid ~280 WL 5 days 1 star tool 3โ€“11 per WL (Teleporter Charge ~2 WL)
Tea Set ~25 WL ~24 hours 1โ€“2 Tea ~50 per WL
  • They never pay back from harvesting. One surgical tool every 5 days is worth a few cents of a World Lock.
  • So why do people own them? They're rare: the Surgical Tool Bag only comes from Clash parkour prizes and season awards, and its price doubled from ~4 DL to ~8 DL between August and October. Owners hold them as an investment, and surgeons and star voyagers use the free tools themselves.
  • Tea halves your chance of failing a surgery step, so the Tea Set is for surgeons, not sellers.

Verdict: collector's items. Buy them for the price trend or for your own surgery and voyages, not for income.

๐Ÿ“Š Which Provider Is Best for You?

Provider Costs Effort Earns per day (selling) Pays back in
BBM ~4 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ daily + lots of selling ~0.6 WL* ~1 week (then used up)
Science Station 2โ€“3 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ twice a day + crafting ~0.15โ€“0.25 WL ~2 weeks
Science Station 2โ€“3 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ twice a day, sell raw ~0.07 WL ~1 month
Tackle Box 7โ€“10 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ every 2 days ~0.13 WL* ~2โ€“2ยฝ months
Cow ~1 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ daily ~0.013 WL ~2ยฝ months
Sheep (shears + bolts) ~5 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ every 3 days + weaving ~0.06 WL ~3 months
Chicken ~2 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ daily ~0.015 WL ~4โ€“5 months
Coffee Maker 2โ€“3 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ daily ~0.02 WL ~4โ€“5 months
Buffalo ~3 WL ๐Ÿ”ฅ daily ~0.013 WL ~7โ€“8 months
ATM Machine ~5 WL ๐Ÿ˜ด daily, nothing to sell ~12 gems (โ‰ˆ0.006 WL) 2+ years
Surgical Tool Bag 4โ€“8 DL ๐Ÿ˜ด every 5 days ~0.03 WL never (hold item)

*Estimates: BBM from an older community average, Tackle Box assuming every bait is equally likely.

Pick your style:

  • ๐Ÿ˜ด Little time: ATM Machines (nothing to sell, ever) or Tackle Boxes (one punch every 2 days, and Shrimp Lures sell easily).
  • โš–๏ธ In the middle: Science Stations, selling the chemicals as they come.
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Maximum profit: Science Stations crafted into Dragon Tails, or BBM flips. The best returns, but they cost you the most hours.
  • ๐Ÿ† Long-term hold: Surgical Tool Bag and Star Tool Droid, if you believe their prices will keep climbing.

๐Ÿ’ก Provider Tips

  1. Volume is everything. Profit comes from hundreds of providers, not a handful.
  2. Harvest on time. A ready provider just waits; it doesn't stack extra drops.
  3. Shorten the timer. The Ancestral Orb of Time cuts provider time by up to 6%.
  4. Buy on the dip. Add providers to your Watchlist and check the Market page before buying in bulk.
