SSP Shop Guide: Is a Small Seed Pack Shop Worth It? (2026)
Table of Contents

An SSP shop is a world full of vending machines selling seeds from Small Seed Packs. You buy packs in bulk, open them, stock every seed in its own vend, and sell to players who need a few of something: builders, splicers, and anyone doing the Daily Quest.

This guide covers what an SSP is, which seeds you get, what packs cost right now, what the seeds sell for, what the vends and world cost, how to lay out the shop, and whether the work pays off. Prices are the latest reported on GTPriceGuide (some are a few months old). Click any item to check its live price before you buy.

Running RSP instead? Rare Seed Packs work very differently. See our RSP Shop Guide.

What Is an SSP?

Store price What's inside Possible seeds
100 gems (1,000 for 10) 5 seeds: 4 common (rarity 2–12), 1 rare (13–21) 149
  • 4 common seeds come from a pool of 87: basics like Grass, Door, Sign, Wood Block, Bricks, Rose, Wheat, Mushroom, Torch, colored blocks, Toilet, Barrel, Tomato, Blueberry and Water Bucket.
  • 1 rare seed comes from a pool of 60: Bathtub, Bed, Bubble Wrap, Cactus, Apple, Orange, Blue Block, Purple Block, Portcullis, Plumbing, Screen Door, Seaweed, Ancient Block, Air Vent, Swiss Cheese Block, sheet music and more.
  • Every seed in a slot's pool has the same chance, so you get a little of everything and a lot of nothing.

What 100 Packs Actually Gives You

Packs Common seeds Rare seeds
100 400 (about 4–5 of each of 87) 100 (about 1–2 of each of 60)
1,000 4,000 (about 46 of each of 87) 1,000 (about 17 of each of 60)

That spread is the whole SSP business in one table: around 147 different seeds, each in small amounts. To sell all of them you need well over 100 vending machines, one per seed.

What SSP Costs Right Now

A recent Discord listing:

SELL 105K SSP PACK RATE 14WL

That's 14 WL per 100 packs, or 0.14 WL a pack (about 7 packs per World Lock).

You pay You get Each seed costs you
0.14 WL a pack 5 seeds 0.028 WL (about 36 per WL)

So 36 seeds per WL is your break-even. Sell a seed for more than that (say 20 per WL) and you profit on it. Sell it for less (say 200 per WL) and you lose on it.

If you farm gems: 2,000 gems buys 1 World Lock in the store, but the same 2,000 gems buys 20 SSPs, which sell for about 2.8 WL. That's why gem farmers sell packs instead of buying locks, and why there's always SSP for sale.

What the Seeds Sell For

The rare slot is where the money is. A handful of rare-slot seeds sell for much more than the rest:

Rare seed Reported price
Bubble Wrap Seed ~1 per WL
Lattice Background Seed ~1 per WL
Plumbing Seed ~1 per WL
Portcullis Seed ~1 per WL
Screen Door Seed ~1 per WL
Ancient Stone Gate Seed ~2 per WL
Bathtub Seed ~2 per WL
Cactus Seed ~2 per WL
Olde Timey Radio Seed ~2 per WL
Outie Block Seed ~2 per WL
Biohazard Sign Seed ~3 per WL
Bed Seed ~4 per WL
Purple Block Seed ~5 per WL

The other rare seeds mostly sell for 10–150 per WL.

Common seeds are cheap. Most sell for 50–200+ per WL, below your 36-per-WL break-even. The best commons:

Common seed Reported price
Water Bucket Seed ~7 per WL
Death Spikes Seed ~8 per WL
Barrel Seed ~10 per WL
Toilet Seed ~10 per WL
Wooden Table Seed ~10 per WL
Orange Block Seed ~10 per WL
Blueberry Seed ~15 per WL

What the Shop Itself Costs

Packs are the cheap part. The vending machines are the big expense, because each vend holds only one kind of item and an SSP shop has about 147 kinds of seed.

Vend Store price Reported price What it does
Vending Machine 8,000 gems ~12 WL Holds one item. Shoppers walk up and buy.
DigiVend Machine 12,000 gems ~18–26 WL The same, but it can connect to a Vending Hub.
Vending Hub 50,000 gems ~70–110 WL Lists every DigiVend in its row or column. Shoppers search by name and buy from one spot.

You don't have to vend every seed. Pick the size that fits your budget:

Shop size Vends Vend cost (at ~12 WL) What you stock
Starter ~25 ~300 WL The 13 best rare seeds and the best commons. Sell the rest in bulk lots.
Full ~150 ~1,800 WL Every seed, so you're ready for any Daily Quest.

A full shop with DigiVends and a hub for each row is easier to shop, but costs roughly twice as much.

The rest of the world is cheap:

Item How many Reported price Total
World Lock 1 1 WL 1 WL
Cave Background ~600 tiles ~200 per WL ~3 WL
Wooden Platform ~150 ~80 per WL ~2 WL
Sign (row labels) ~15 ~7 per WL ~2 WL
Decoration total ~8 WL

Vends keep their value. If you stop running the shop, you can sell the vends again. The WL is tied up rather than spent, but it's tied up for as long as the shop runs.

Make Your Shop Easy to Read

Shoppers leave if they can't find what they want in a few seconds. A shop with 100+ vends needs a clear layout more than it needs decoration.

  • One row per group. Rare seeds, blocks, backgrounds, furniture, farmables, sheet music. Put a Sign at the start of each row saying what's in it.
  • Best sellers next to spawn. Every shopper starts at the door. Put your rare seeds and today's Daily Quest seed in the first row they see.
  • Same spot every restock. Sort each row alphabetically or by rarity, and keep every seed in the same vend. Regulars learn where things are and come straight back.
  • Plain, dark background. Cave Background behind the vends makes the item icons stand out. Busy patterns and bright colors make vends hard to read.
  • Room to walk. Put a platform under every row and leave a gap between rows, so shoppers can walk along and click each vend without falling.
  • A guide sign at spawn. Say what's in which row and when you restock.
  • Skip the fancy stuff. Every decoration costs WL and sells nothing. Buy vends first, and decorate once the shop pays for itself.

Is an SSP Shop Worth It?

Here's 100 packs (14 WL) valued at the reported prices above:

Part Seeds Worth if every seed sells
Common seeds 400 ~7 WL
Rare seeds 100 ~15 WL
Total 500 ~22 WL (cost: 14 WL)

On paper that's about 50% profit on the packs, roughly 8 WL per 100 packs. That doesn't count your vends (300–1,800 WL), which you buy once and can sell again later. In practice the profit is lower, for three reasons:

  • More than half the value is in 10 rare seeds. Roughly 1 pack in 6 gives one of them. The other rare seeds and most commons add little.
  • Not everything sells. Some seeds sell out fast, some sit for weeks, and some only sell when a Daily Quest asks for them.
  • It's slow. Expect a week or more to earn back what you paid, depending on how often you advertise.

What players who run SSP shops say about it:

"Restocking SSP shops are tedious. You have to look for suppliers, open the packs, and stock over 100 vending machines, advertise, and monitor... So essentially it has the same rhythm as farming."

"The more annoying part is having to monitor the price for each seed and comparing the values to the market on a near day to day basis, such as Daily Quests... your gain will be far off what it could have been."

"After spending a few hours restocking, monitoring once in a while is all that is left - so really it's just like farming, but in a different pace."

Daily Quests: Where SSP Shops Shine

The Daily Quest asks for specific items in exchange for a Growtoken. When it asks for something ordinary, like a common block, everyone suddenly needs it and prices jump for the day.

An SSP shop already has a little of almost every basic seed in stock. Check the quest each day and raise that seed's price before the rush. Owners who keep up with this make far more than owners who set prices once and walk away.

SSP Shop Tips

  • Price against the market, not the pack. Your break-even is about 36 seeds per WL, but each seed sells for what players will pay. Check prices every few days.
  • Price your best rare seeds high. Bubble Wrap, Bathtub, Cactus and Bed are the seeds that pay for your packs. Don't sell them at common prices.
  • Bundle the cheap commons. Seeds worth 200 per WL won't sell one at a time. Sell them in big lots or keep them for Daily Quest days.
  • Open packs in bulk. Restocking is repetitive (open, stock, drop extras when your backpack is full), so do it in one long session a week instead of every day.
  • Start small. Begin with ~25 vends for the seeds that actually sell, and add more once they're paying for themselves.
  • Advertise. Shoppers have to find your world before they can buy from it.

Verdict

An SSP shop can make money, but it isn't passive income. Your margin depends on the few rare seeds that sell well, and on keeping up with prices and Daily Quests.

  • Run one if you have a few hundred WL for vends, enjoy farming-style routines, can check prices most days, and want a steady side income.
  • Skip it if you want to buy something and forget about it. A provider is far less work.

The packs are cheap. The vends and your time are the real cost. Whether that trade is worth it is up to you.
